Dr. Jared Jacobskind
Dr. Jared Jacobskind graduated from Stony Brook University in 2010 where he earned a bachelor of science in chemistry. Motivated by a desire to apply his passion for science in a clinical setting, he enrolled in Stony Brook University’s School of Dental Medicine where his academic achievements earned him admission to the prestigious dental residency program at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northport, NY. During his time there, Dr. Jacobskind established a reputation founded upon professionalism and respect. He describes his tenure serving the health needs of the local veteran population as “one of the most fulfilling and gratifying endeavors” of his life. Professionally, he aims to apply his clinical expertise towards educating his patients and sharing their visions for treatment. In addition to his clinical accolades, he takes pride in earning both the trust and friendship of his patients.
Dr. Xing Zhu
Dr. Xing Zhu is happy to work alongside Dr. Jacobskind and the other talented staff members at First Line Dental to enhance the level of care we provide to our patients. Dr. Zhu is an orthodontist, which means he completed an extensive residency after dental school in order to learn the ins and outs of orthodontic care. He is thus able to provide a range of treatments, including traditional braces, self-litigating braces with the Damon system, Invisalign, and more.
During his time in school at both the University of Connecticut School of the Dental Medicine and State University of New York at Buffalo, he participated in a number of volunteer activities that helped him sharpen his skills and satisfy his desire to give back to his community. For example, he provided education to inner city students in Hartford. He also made mouthguards for Special Olympic athletes.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Zhu enjoys hiking, running, portrait photography, and cooking.
